In accordance with the first principle of the Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Social
Responsibility, Pirelli RE uses specific management systems to improve the quality, efficacy and efficiency of its procedures, in an effort to further reduce their impact on employees’ health and safety and on the external environment.
ISO 9001
All of Pirelli RE’s service provider companies have set up a quality management system. Starting in 1999, they have had their systems certified according to ISO 9001.
Environment: ISO 14001
In 2002, Pirelli RE Facility Management set up an environmental management system, which is ISO 14001 certified. Ingest Facility, acquired in 2007, is also certified to the standards of ISO 14001.
Corporate Social Responsibility: SA 8000
In 2004, the Pirelli Group declared SA 8000 to be the Group’s standard of reference for corporate social responsibility.
