Sustainability Report

Methodology

Pirelli RE’s sustainability report, now in its fourth edition, seeks to fully embody our philosophy of integrating economic decisions with environmental and social choices, according to the “triple bottom line” approach.

The report was written to comply with the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and sustainable performance is analysed according to the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) developed on the basis of GRI’s G3 guidelines. For the economic and social dimensions we have also used the “Principles of Social Reporting” published by the Social Report Task Force of Italy’s Ministry of Labour and Social Policies.

The Group’s boundary for CSR reporting is the same as the scope of consolidation.

In this volume we have focused on the issues of greatest interest to the reader, bearing our different stakeholders in mind and providing a down-to-earth look at Pirelli RE’s commitment to responsibility. We do not make a show of our achievements, but report transparently on any problems and discuss what has changed since our 2007 report.

Starting this year, the report also includes third-party certification.
